OUR APPROACH
Many places offer a setting. We offer a lens.
Back to La Tierra is designed first for peace, privacy, art and real rest.
Our regenerative approach is always here in the background — but it’s never something you’re expected to “learn” or participate in.
If you simply want a restful stay: perfect.
If you’re curious about how the place works: you’re in the right place too.
Our approach
We care for this land as a living system — building resilience through soil, water, energy, and biodiversity — so the finca becomes healthier over time. Welcoming guests is part of the same vision: sharing this calm, restorative place with people from around the world, and exploring a livelihood that aims to be a win-win — for guests, for us, and for the earth.
Art is part of that approach too. Not “art” as decoration, but as a way of living: making things with attention, working with materials, and letting creativity slow the mind down. Paul’s practice (www.mynameisArts.com) grows directly from the land — his studio is here, and the textures, pigments, and natural processes around us are part of his work. For guests, it simply means the finca is not only a place to rest, but a place where making, noticing, and living well are quietly encouraged.
What you’ll notice (without trying)
A food forest and kitchen garden designed like an ecosystem
Shade, wind and sunlight used thoughtfully (comfort that feels natural)
Quiet rhythms: birds at sunrise, cooler corners at midday, softer evenings
A calm, spacious atmosphere: maximum 6 guests on site
What’s quietly in practice
We use simple regenerative principles that support both the land and the guest experience:
Soil care: composting, mulching, and planting in layers to build fertility and retain moisture
Water stewardship: careful use of water and natural filtration (reed-bed system)
Solar energy: comfort supported by the sun’s rhythm whenever possible
Biodiversity: gardens that invite life back — insects, birds, beneficial “helpers” you’ll start noticing
If you’re curious (optional)
We’re happy to offer a short 15-minute land orientation. No lecture, no agenda — just a glimpse into what we’re doing and why it matters to us. And if you’re considering a more nature-connected lifestyle yourself, we love those conversations too.
